TITLE: El Palo Now vs El Palo in the past

BUILDINGS: 

 

In the past there were few buildings

Thre used to be A neighborhood with lots of people working

Now there are Many buildings, shops, bars, supermarkets ...

People used to work asfishermen  

Now, most people work in/as Now there is more variety of work in shops, bars or construction

 

TRANSPORT 

 

People in the past used to travel by/on Before they walked or cycled or donkey

Now, people normally travel by/on Now people are going by bus, car, plane, boats

 

INFRASTRUCTURE AND SERVICES

 

In the past there were Few hospitals, no malls

In the past there used to be hospitals, no malls ......

 

Now there are A health center, shops, supermarkets

 

CONCLUSION 

 

In my opinion, El Palo is better/ worse  now/ in the past because:

 My conclusion is that the Palo is much better now because it is much more complete than before and there are many more things than before because before there were very few things

TITLE: Juan's Story.

Juan has convinced his parents to let him use the house they have in the country to spend a few days with his friends. It`s a long weekend and Juan and his friends drive to the house to spend their holidays there. The date is 1November, All Saints' Day. Juan and his friend decide to have a Halloween party. They dress up and decorate the house with pictures of skeletons, skulls, ghosts and monsters  to help create the rigth atmosphere. They have also bought beer and other drinks.

It`s late in the evening and it`s getting rather cold and windy. The rain starts coming down. Suddenly the lights go off. Alicia, one of Juan`s friends suggests they can do a ouija session in the dark to have some fun. They all agree with enthusiasm. They set up everything and start doing it. However they weren`t prepared for the events that would happen later in the house and that they would never forget the rest of their lives.

By doing the ouija begin to happen strange things in the house, all the decorations that had put it fell the ground and Alicia disappeared were found dead and all ran and told never to do that game anymore and never returned to that home because they were traumatized.
